Would you like Fugent to update basic information in the contact record?
The “Allow Basic Contact Record Updates” permission allows Fugent to help keep your contacts' basic information up-to-date in Salesforce. When you update a contact record in Fugent or your contact updates her information on a registration form (limited to name and email), Fugent will automatically update your contact record in Salesforce.
Fugent may update the following contact fields:
FirstName
LastName
fugentId__c
Email (only updated if the contact was previously imported into Salesforce)
Title
MailingStreet
MailingCity
MailingState
MailingPostalCode
Phone
MobilePhone
HomePhone
Fax
*It is important to note that regardless of whether you give Fugent permission to update basic contact information in Salesforce, Fugent will update contact records with a Fugent ID. The Fugent ID allows Fugent to sync Fugent activities, such as meeting registrations, meeting attendance, email clicks, etc, to the contact record.
NOTE:
- Fugent will match contacts based on email addresses and Fugent associates a Fugent ID
- A second match is based on email address or Fugent ID
- If two contacts have the same email address, Fugent will use the oldest contact to associate activity
Select, "Save"
Fugent will schedule your contact sync at your selected time interval to transfer all contacts and previous activities selected. Depending on the time interval chosen, this process might take a while depending on the amount of data transferring.
