Fugent now offers the ability to share a video, or a recorded WebEx meeting, that is saved to your computer, in a meeting.
Once in a meeting, select Document from my Computer from the Share menu.
Browse for & select your video and click on the Open button.
*****It is important to note that your video MUST be on your computer. It can NOT be on a DVD or on a shared network drive.*****
* WebEx suggests videos not be over 20 meg in size
The video will open in the meeting window the same as if you opened a presentation.
At the bottom of the video screen you have the controls for the video playback.
Make sure you tell your attendees to adjust their computer speakers so they can hear the video during playback.
When the video opens, it must upload for each attendee. You can see the status of the upload by looking at the diamond next to the attendees name in the Participants list. The diamond will fill in as the file uploads.
Fugent recommends you allow the video to upload for everyone completely before playback. The time it takes to upload the video depends on the type of video & internet speed.
You can also check on the status of your attendees upload by clicking on the Attendee Statistics button at the bottom of the screen.
You do not need to sit and wait for the video to upload. You can open the video and once it starts to upload you can use another meeting feature, such as share a presentation, while the video uploads.
If an attendee joins your meeting after the upload has started, simply click on the tab of the video at the top of the screen to start the video upload for them.
As previously stated, you can then move on to another meeting feature while uploading.
