There are several items to check when unsuccessfully importing an excel sheet into your Fugent contacts.
Incorrect File Format
The original excel sheet being imported into Fugent must be saved as an XLS, XLXS or CSV file. This will allow for the quickest and most accurate import into Fugent than other file types.
Too Much Data Being Processed
First Name, Last Name, Email Address are the only necessary fields for importing an Excel sheet.
These are to be placed in three separate columns.
• Check for and Delete Hidden Columns
The system will not be able to upload spreadsheets with hidden columns.
• Split large spreadsheets into multiple files –
If you have greater than five thousand contacts, you will want to split your list into two separate files and submit the import requests separately. By splitting the files into five thousand contacts or less, you will cut down on the time it takes to import the file.
